Walter commenced his career with Frank Glennon Ltd in 1986. After four years he moved to HSBC, where he remained for over 10 years and was responsible for the management and service provision for international and national accounts including the management of various Binding Authorities from Lloyd’s.

In 2002, he moved to Heath Lambert and worked for the next four years in their Major Accounts Group where he was responsible for the formulation, design, enhancing and placing of clients’ risk management and purchasing policy. The clients were various multinational and national companies involved in retailing, manufacturing, engineering, wholesaling and IT.

In 2006, Walter moved to Layton Blackham Group where he was Branch Manager for one of Layton Blackham’s largest branches. Walter was appointed Director of Insurance Broking for Christie Insurance in February 2008 and Managing Director in January 2009.

David has worked in the insurance industry as an Account Executive for over 25 years, primarily with London City brokers. He has gained much technical expertise in looking after the insurance interests of clients in the UK commercial sector. Clients have encompassed a broad range of business activities including manufacturing, warehousing, importers and exporters, hotels, retailers and small businesses with differing requirements across all classes of non-marine insurance.

David joined Christie Insurance in October 2009 as an Account Executive in our existing business team.

Louis has been working in the insurance industry since 2007 after starting at Royal Sun Alliance in Halifax, West Yorkshire as a customer service manager. He then moved to London and began working for Christie Insurance in August 2010 as an Account Handler in our New Business Department.

After studying English at the University of Glasgow, Thomas began his insurance career at Group Direct in Southampton in 2006. Following success in liability, retail and property owners’ insurance he progressed to specialise in the commercial combined sector. During this time Thomas was appointed to the Senior Advisor role in 2007 and a year later was named the Package Sales Employee of the Year.

He has successfully completed his Cert CII qualifications and is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Thomas joined Christie Insurance in November 2009 as Business Development Executive.

Sarah started work when she was 17, for Swinton Insurance, working in the Personal Lines division and then in Parity’s Finance department. After 3 years with Swinton, Sarah spent the next 4 years with a distribution company working as the PA/Office Manager for the directors. Sarah then joined MPS, a recruitment company, as the PA for the Head of the in-house Legal Department for 3 years. Sarah joined Christie Insurance in March 2010 as the PA to the Managing Director.

Adam started his insurance career at Willis Ltd in 2007. He was based in Ipswich within the Willis Marine Claims Reinsurance department, concentrating on servicing UK and Lloyd’s syndicate clients. During his three and a half years at Willis, he was promoted to become a senior claims advisor and, in 2009, he obtained a CII Diploma in insurance.

Adam joined Christie Insurance in February 2011 as a Business Development Executive.

Kevin has nearly 15 years experience working for Personal Lines insurance brokers. He started in 1996, working for Anglia Motor Insurance as a Sales Executive. He was then promoted to Sales Supervisor and managed a successful team which was well respected by colleagues and customers alike.

After leaving Anglia Motor Insurance, so that he could fulfil his love of cars, Kevin spent two years in New Car Sales for the well known Ford Dealership, John Grose. However, he missed general insurance, so moved on to Direct Choice, another well-respected personal lines broker. Here he became involved in underwriting and ran various delegated authority schemes on behalf of insurers like Aviva, Allianz Cornhill, AXA and Highway Insurance.

In 2006, Kevin joined Call Connection Ltd, using cutting-edge convergence technology to help provide insurers with carefully profiled customers whose needs are best suited. He was quickly promoted to Sales Team Manager and was responsible for two teams with a combined income of £3m per year. His skills were also put to good use by the Business Development Team, through secondment, to roll out new products to key business partners such as Swinton, A Quote and Hero Insurance.

Chris graduated from Brunel University in 2009 with a degree in Psychology. He has since worked as an Insurance Advisor for a broker dealing in Motorcycle Insurance. Chris joined Christie Insurance in May 2011 as an Account Handler in the New Business Team.

Before joining the Company, Blaine had worked for various retail companies. He joined Christie Insurance in 2011 as an Account Handler within our renewals team and is keen to progress within the industry.

After graduating in 2008 with a 2:1 (Hons) degree in History from Canterbury Christ Church University, Stephen joined TCF Corporate, a fraud management company who specialise in motor insurance. He then moved to Mondial Assistance, a leading travel insurer and, during his time there, Stephen completed his CeRGI exam. Having spent two years developing experience in the insurance industry, Stephen joined Christie Insurance in July 2010 as an Account Hander in our Renewals Team.

Stephen joined the insurance industry in 1990 after reading Economics at the London School of Economics. He worked for the Windsor Insurance Group for over 16 years, initially as Claims Manager and then as an account executive specialising in the leisure sector. Stephen is a qualified Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is a Chartered Insurance Broker. He joined Christie Insurance in May 2008 as Senior Account Executive.

David worked at First Commercial Insurance Brokers from 2001 to 2009 as an Account Handler specialising in Property Owners', Public Liability and Fleet insurance.

David joined Christie Insurance in July 2009 as an Account Handler in our Existing Business team.

Nawaz has been working within the financial advice industry for over 5 years. He initially worked in Cheltenham for an IFA firm dealing with both commercial and personal financial advice.

Nawaz moved to London and joined Christie Insurance in October 2008 to head the Business Protection Team.

Dipen began his career working for an IFA office that was setting up an insurance division looking after a previously untouched client base. After successfully setting this business up, Dipen moved on to work for nationwide brokers, Coversure, working as an Insurance Executive. Here he was tasked with dealing with all new commercial customers and high net worth clients, assisting and reviewing their insurance covers.

In 2006, Dipen joined Christie Insurance as a Business Development Executive. After nearly 3 successful years at the Company, he decided to move on to broaden his industry knowledge and contacts and joined HSBC Insurance Brokers. Dipen was responsible for managing HSBC North West London clients and advising HSBC corporate clients. After HSBC sold their insurance arm, Dipen returned to Christie Insurance and is looking forward to a long and successful career with the Company.

Dipen has successfully completed his Cert CII qualifications, is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and has obtained the Certificate of Regulated Insurance (CeRGI). He is studying for his Diploma through the Chartered Insurance Institute and is aiming to have this qualification tied up soon.

Philip began his career in financial services 11 years ago and qualified as a Financial Adviser with Winterthur Credit Suisse in 1998. After moving to National Mutual and GE Life specialising in pensions, he then joined a national firm of mortgage and general insurance brokers as Head of Compliance in 2003.

Philip joined Christie Corporate Finance/Christie Finance/Christie Insurance in 2008 and heads the compliance department. Philip is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Personal Finance Society and the Securities and Investment Institute.

Greg started in the insurance industry almost ten years ago, quoting new business at a Docklands based commercial insurance broker, First Light. After three years, he was promoted to their technical claims department, where he gained in-depth knowledge in claims and underwriting issues. He went on to manage this department until joining Christie Insurance in 2007.

His strong interpersonal skills and the far reaching business relationships serve him well when handling clients’ claims.

Andrew previously worked in actuarial for a FTSE 100 life insurance company before resuming his final year study at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. After graduating in 2010 with a 2:1 in Mathematical Studies, he returned to London to recommence his career in the insurance industry.

Andrew joined Christie Insurance in January 2011 as a Business Protection Consultant within the New Business Team.

He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is studying for his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Luke graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Information Management & Business Studies. He started working for Christie Insurance immediately after his exams in June 2011 as an Account Handler in our New Business Team.
