Our Top Tips When Making a Claim
Our team are here to help you avoid common pitfalls

Act Quickly
In an emergency, act as though you are uninsured to minimise any loss. This may involve securing the premises or arranging emergency repairs. Once it is safe, contact our claims team before proceeding further.

Do Not Admit Liability
If you receive any communication from a third party or solicitor, relating to a potential claim against you, forward it immediately, unanswered, to our claims team. Never admit fault or make comments that could be construed as accepting responsibility.

Keep a Paper Trail
Wherever possible, gather and retain all relevant documents relating to the incident. This includes photographs, receipts, emails, reports and any other evidence that might support your claim. The more information we have, the quicker we can help resolve your claim.
